POLYBOND™ Tile Grout 38

Polymer Modified Cement-based Water Resistant Coloured Tile Grout

Product Group:

Adhesive & Grout System

POLYBOND™ Tile Grout 38 is a high polymer modified water resistant cement-based tile grout specially formulated for demanding vertical and horizontal grouting of joints of all sizes of ceramic, porcelain, homogeneous tiles and natural stones for internal and external application.

Advantages

  • Single component user friendly
  • Shrinkage compensated and excellent high compressive strength
  • Interior and exterior application
  • Water resistant and minimize efflorescence
  • Grouting to joint width of 3 to 8mm
  • Non-toxic and non-flammable
  • No additional additive is required
  • Cost effective with high productivity

Recommended Substrate

Grouting for all ceramic, porcelain, homogeneous tiles and natural stone for joint width of 3 to 8mm of all sizes except for the purpose of chemical resistance for Industrial flooring.

Surface preparation, inspection and rectification

Clean both the tiles/stones and the joints to remove oil, dust, laitances and any residue of tile adhesive by soft brushing and/or vacuuming. Prewet the joints if necessary under extreme conditions before applying the grout.

Mix thoroughly a bag of 25kg POLYBOND™ Tile Grout 38 with approximately 7.5 – 8.0 litres of clean water with a power mixer and mix continuously for 3 – 5 minutes until a homogeneous paste is achieved. Re-mix the material before re-use if the material is left undisturbed for more than 30 minutes.
Firmly apply the freshly mixed POLYBOND™ Tile Grout 38 with a rubber trowel or sponge squeegee diagonally over the tiles by pressing the grout firmly into the joints. Repeat the motion if the infill is not satisfactory. A repeated circular motion by a slightly wet sponge with clean water may assist to distribute evenly during the infilling process of the grouts into the joints. Allow the grout to set in for 15-30 minutes and upon satisfaction of the desired infill process, immediately remove the wet tile grout from the tile surface by using the same and diagonal motion. Use the thumb to feel and compress the loose tile grout if any and necessary to shape the infilled grout before final setting to the desired curved-in and smooth texture and shape. After the infill of POLYBOND™ Tile Grout 38 has fully set and hardened inside the joints, final cleaning with a moist sponge or cloth to remove all remaining residue on the tile surface is conducted.
  • Do not dilute/adulterate the POLYBOND™ Tile Grout 38 with OPC/sand/additional additive other than recommended.
  • Do not dampen the applied tile grout to artificially prolong open time.
  • Light foot traffic is only allowable after a minimum of 24 hours.
  • Tile joint grouting after 8 hours (wall) and 24 hours (floor).
  • Protect the applied tile grout against high humidity or running water until the material is fully cured.
  • Do not use acid cleaning agents to remove residues from the tile surface after grouting process.
