PolyBond Joint Mortar is a high quality cement-based joint mortar specially formulated for installation of concrete panels and blocks. PolyBond Joint Mortar has excellent workability and consistent bond strength when applied as a joint mortar in thickness exceeding 5mm but not more than 10mm. PolyBond Joint Mortar is highly recommended for both internal and external applications.

Remove all loose materials or traces of foreign materials and ensure surface cleaned, free of dust and dirt to ensure good adhesion. It is recommended to damp the substrate surface prior to the application of PolyBond Joint Mortar.

Mix thoroughly a bag of 40kg PolyBond Joint Mortar with approx. 9.0 – 10.0 litres of clean water by using an electrical power mixer for 3 to 5 minutes to achieve a creamy consistency, prior to application. Re-mix the PolyBond Joint Mortar for 1 minute before re-use if the material is left undisturbed for more than 30 minutes.

Apply PolyBond Joint Mortar with homogeneous paste manually with a steel trowel onto the joint surface and work to achieve good contact and build to the required thickness. Install concrete panel or block over the fresh adhesive within 10 minutes and firmly fix it to ensure good contact with the adjacent panel. Any adjustment to the panel shall be done within 15 minutes of installation of PolyBond Joint Mortar. Any adjustment beyond this time shall require the removal of the existing adhesive and the substrate be applied with a fresh coat of adhesive. Make sure that the concrete panel joint is fully filled with PolyBond Joint Mortar. Trim off excessive adhesive mortar from the concrete panel or block surface. Avoid heavy loading of the newly completed wall within 24 hours. Skim coat the panel or block walls surface with PolyMix Skim Coat if flat and smooth surface texture is required.
