PolyBond Block Mortar is a polymer modified cement-based thick Joint Mortar specially formulated for vertical and horizontal installation of cement-sand brick and block as well as clay brick. PolyBond Block Mortar is not recommended for use onto wood, metal, plastic, cement asbestos board painted surface.

Brick or block surfaces to be joined should be cleaned and free from dust, grease and other unsound material to ensure good adhesion.

 

Mix 40kg of PolyBond Block Mortar to 6.5 – 7.0 litres of clean water with power mixer for 3 to 5 minutes to achieve a creamy consistency. Re-mix material before use if it has been left unused standing in the pot more than 30 minutes.

 

Apply PolyBond Block Mortar with trowel on to the brick joint surface and work to achieve good contact and build up for required thickness. Install brick or block over the fresh mortar within 15 minutes and firmly fix it with rubber mallet to ensure good contact with the adjacent brick. Any adjustment to the bricks shall be made within 10 minutes after its installation. Avoid heavy loading of the newly completed wall within 24 hours.
