POLYBOND™ ADD-Mix is a water-based emulsion polymer admixture or additive specially formulated to be mixed with POLYBOND™ 136 or POLYBOND™ Standard 158 tiles adhesive to replace mixing water primarily to improve bond strength, flexibility, water resistance and durability as well as minimize efflorescence at joints.

Recommended usage

As an additive for direct replacement of mixing water for:

  • POLYBOND 136 & POLYBOND Standard 158
  • POLYBOND or any other tile grouts
  • Factory premix render and screed
  • Cement-sand site mix plaster and screed

Preparing the mix

For Factory Premix Materials

  • Pour the required POLYBOND™ ADD-Mix in litre into a drum and then only pour the powder slowly while continuously mixing with a slow speed mechanical mixer until it forms a consistent paste free from lumps with an optimal workability for the targeted application depending on substrate and humidity at that time.

For Site Mix Plaster and Screed

  • Pour the required POLYBOND™ ADD-Mix in litre progressively into the rotating drum mixer together with the OPC and washed sand and mix until a consistency is achieved for the targeted application.

  • Precautions!
  • Stir well POLYBOND™ ADD-Mix from container before mixing as some solid matters may have settled to the bottom of container during prolong storage.
  • Do not further dilute with water other than recommended for a specific function.
  • No necessity to further add any form of plasticizer, lime or chemical additive to improve workability.
  • Please empty all plastic containers thoroughly after use and dispose in accordance to the local regulations as required.
