PolyBond AAC TBA

PolyBond AAC TBA

Polymer Modified Cement-Base Thin Bed Adhesive for AAC Block

Product Group:

Adhesive & Grout System

PolyBond AAC TBA is a high quality polymer modified thin bed adhesive specially formulated for thin vertical and horizontal jointing of 2 to 5mm for aerated autoclaved lightweight concrete blocks or panels. PolyBond AAC TBA has special characteristics of high water retention property to prevent rapid loss of water and longer open time, critical for the proper installation of AAC blocks or panels. As a thin bed adhesive, PolyBond AAC TBA will allow faster installation of AAC blockwall with excellent vertical and horizontal alignment and thereby enable Polymer Modified Cement-Based Thin Plaster as an alternative finishing. Thus, enhance quality and productivity as well as cost saving in overall finishing works.

Remove all loose materials or traces of foreign materials and ensure surface cleaned, free of dust and dirt, prior to the application of PolyBond AAC TBA.

Mix thoroughly a bag of 25kg PolyBond AAC TBA with approximately 8.0 – 9.0 litres of clean water by using an electrical power mixer for 3 to 5 minutes until the homogeneous paste is achieved. Re-mix the material before re-use if the material is left undisturbed for more than 30 minutes.

Remove dust, oil, dirt and any other unsound material from the AAC block surface. Spread the PolyBond AAC TBA with notched trowel and ensure all joints are fully covered. Install AAC blocks with the fresh adhesive within 5 minutes or before a film is formed on the surface of PolyBond AAC TBA. Adjustment for alignment should only be done with a rubber mallet to ensure good bonding with the adjacent block at completed joint thickness of 2 to 3mm. Remove excessive or dripping PolyBond AAC TBA from the AAC surface before it hardens and patch block unfilled joints with same material. Avoid heavy loading of the newly completed wall within 24 hours.
